How Many Push-Us Can You Do? It May Be a Good Predictor of Heart Health
Next time you do some push-ups, consider counting them.
New research suggests that push-ups can foretell the future state of a person’s heart. Specifically, for men who can easily bust out 40 push-ups in a single exercise session, they are far less likely to experience a heart attack or other cardiovascular problem later on in life in comparison to men who can complete just 10 or fewer. The exercise is a good predictor for blood flow, interest in healthy living and a person’s ability to maintain a normal weight. There is even more on this interesting finding over at The New York Times.
