Are Eggs Bad for Your Heart Health? Maybe
It is no secret that eggs are high in cholesterol.
While some nutrition experts say the food is good for you despite its high cholesterol number, others are certain the breakfast staple is bad for you. A new study sought to analyze a broad range of research on this very topic and found for each additional 300 milligrams a day of cholesterol in the diet, there was a 17 percent increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Eggs on their own contain 185 milligrams of cholesterol, so with each additional half-egg, there was an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. For more on the study, check out The New York Times.
