More Seniors Should Be Getting Brain Health Screenings, Experts Say
Alzheimer’s Disease continues to be a growing concern for many Americans, and yet just 16 percent of seniors reported being regularly screened for cognitive issues, according to a new report by the Alzheimer’s Association.
The study found that while doctors and seniors both agree cognitive screening is important, making time for screening can be challenging. As more Americans continue to die from Alzheimer’s each year, preventative steps like a brain health screening becomes an important aspect of helping fight its symptoms.
