How the Microbiome Might Predict Diabetes, Premature Birth and Gut Diseases
Much research and study is done on our guts, mouth, nose and reproductive tracts, which all contain the very bacteria that live within us, also known as our microbiome.
Now, new research finds that when our microbiome changes, it can impact some primary health conditions: Diabetes, preterm birth and inflammatory bowel diseases. While everyone’s microbiome is different and unique to them, there are some commonalities in some individuals with specific diseases, including insulin resistance. The key will be finding a way to apply this microbiome information even when it varies from person to person. Time has even more on this topic.
