Work Stress, Poor Sleep, High Blood Pressure a Deadly Trio
A mixture of stress at your job, high blood pressure and poor sleep habits is a recipe for an early death, according to new research.
The study uncovered that for 2,000 workers with high blood pressure, those who reported having a high-stress occupation and had trouble getting a good night’s sleep were far more likely to die from heart disease than those with high blood pressure alone. While high blood is already a major risk factor for serious heart conditions, layering in other issues can completely sap a person’s energy, resulting in an early death.
