Study: Vegetarian Diet May Be Better for Heart Disease And Worse for Strokes

When you think about a vegetarian’s diet, you likely imagine meals full of fresh vegetables and fruits.

Despite this common perception, a new study released in the British Medical Journal found that vegetarians have a 20 percent higher risk of stroke than people who eat meat. While it is unknown how a vegetarian diet can contribute to a stroke, there is research that shows including eggs in your diet can increase the risk of stroke.
