Experiential Learning Opportunity
Put your skills to work to improve the health of Michigan residents
Minimum commitment: 9 hours per week | Compensation: $15/hour | Opportunity for course credit
MSU Health Care has entered into an exciting partnership with Higi, a consumer healthcare company with a pharmacy retail network of Smart Health Stations located across the state and across the country. Through Higi, MSU Health Care will offer a series of health programs to educate the community, address access challenges in rural and underserved communities and improve outcomes by delivering the right care at the right time. Key to our partnership is the Michigan launch of Care Everyday, a Remote Monitoring program for seniors (65+) that helps better manage chronic conditions alongside the patient’s primary care team.
We are looking for students who want to put their healthcare knowledge to good use and hone their community engagement skills. Working on this initiative, you’ll spend time in the community, talking to seniors and helping them to understand the benefits of this new program, easing any concerns they may have about a technology-based solution. You’ll help them understand how the platform works and the steps to enroll.
Benefits:
• Real world experience relevant to your field of choice
• Direct impact on underserved communities in Michigan
• Translate your healthcare knowledge into action
• Practice patient education and engagement
• Help Michigan community members get the care they need
• Extend the reach and impact of MSU Health Care across the entire state!
If you are interested in making a difference in Michigan, please email us at learnmore@higi.com to learn more! We look forward to partnering with you.
